Original c.1881-1882 CDV of 20-year-old Jennie Cramer, whose body was found on the beach of West Haven, Connecticut in August 1881.. it was assumed that she had drowned, and possibly committed suicide, but it turned out she had been raped and poisoned. A trial brought against three different defendants ended in an acquittal.
CDV is slightly under 4" tall by 2.5", having been trimmed a bit on the bottom. The back has no imprint, and the name, "Jennie Cramer" written in period pencil.
