Early-1850s daguerreotype, woman displaying an open daguerreotype of a man to the camera. Sad expression on her face... this was very possibly a memorial image, taken on the anniversary of the death of her husband.
The dag comes in half of its original case and is in excellent condition with its original seals appearing to be intact.
