Circa 1900-1910 medical documentation cabinet photograph showing an anencephalic baby. At one time, babies born with this defect were called "frog babies" and placed into jars as sideshow attractions. Here is a very rare and original, antique example originating in Japan. I don't know what the writing says, sorry! Mount is 6.5" x 4.75 inches with a blank back. It is in very good antique condition with some light wear as shown.
