Original c1900 mounted cyanotype, showing a little girl sitting in a room with a memorial portrait of a young boy, likely her brother. At first I thought she was blind.. she might be... or might just be looking out of the window? I do not believe this is a post mortem photo, but others who have seen it do... It's an interesting image, in any case.
The dimensions of the mount are 5" x 5". The back is blank. Condition is excellent. That is NOT a scuff or later damage on the framed photo on the wall.. it looks like some die-cut paper or lace tucked into the photo frame... maybe even a reflection on the glass.. notice how whatever it is ends exactly with the dark border..
