This is an original cabinet photograph of a dog doing a trick, copyright 1891 by R. Dickinson Jewett... not a photographer I'm very familiar with. I believe he was Major R. Dickinson Jewett, a wealthy lawyer in Washington, D.C. at the time... I'm wondering if "Tink" was the family dog, and Jewett captured and made a few copies of this image while practicing photography as a hobby. If that was the case, this could be a very rare or even one of a kind image of "Tink"!
The dimensions are 7" x 5", a bit larger than the standard cabinet card. Condition is very good, with various writing and period stickers on the back.
