Two original CDVs in very good antique condition. The image of Smith in civilian clothing is signed in ink on the back.

Smith was Captain in the 20th Regt. NYSM (October 1, 1861), Captain, 80th Regt. (October 7, 1861), Lieutenant Colonel, 128th Regt. (September 5, 1862), and Colonel, 128th Regt. He was promoted March 13, 1865 to Brevet Brigadier General for conspicuous gallantry at cane River Crossing Louisiana, April 23, 1864, The second CDV by Slee Bros is signed by Smith in ink on the back. Both CDVs are approximately 4" x 2.5". Very good antique condition, with some minor condition issues which should be easily viewable in my zoomed views.
