Original CDV by Warren's, Boston. Dr. Holland and his wife knew and corresponded with Emily Dickinson. Correspondence between them was published by Harvard University Press titled "Emily Dickinson's Letters to Dr. and Mrs. Josiah Gilbert Holland." One source believes that it was possible that Dr. Holland took the early Emily Dickinson daguerreotype.
This is a harder to find portrait of Holland, and it also happens to be in very good or better antique condition. There is one little spot in the background to the right of his tie and a flaw on his lapel, which has always been there, and is not later damage. The dimensions are about 4" x 2.5". Shipping: First Class (flat mailer). Boxed Priority Mail also available at checkout.
