Original tintype of a political marcher wearing a tinted red kepi and cape. Next to him is an object...not sure what it is, but these marchers were usually photographed with parade torches. This could be a modified torch, a flag, or possibly some type of ballot box? Whatever the case it's not something commonly seen in these images.
The tintype is about 3.5" x 2.5" and in very good or better antique condition with a few minor scuffs.
