Original circa 1890 cabinet card of Francis Lingo, a poor farmhand who was tried and convicted of murdering a white
woman, but who was somehow able to get a new trial in which he was acquitted.
Lingo eventually became an attraction at Forepaugh's Dime Museum in Philadelphia, as a man who had escaped death!
Photographed by Morris, Philadelphia.
6.5" x 4.25". The back is clean, blank/white, as produced. "MORD" is just a watermark on my scan, not on the original.
A little light, but my scan looks pretty accurate. There's a little line through his name that only affects the surface of the image.. it's not a crease, doesn't affect the mount and is flat to the touch. Other than that, no issues.
Shipping: First Class (flat photo mailer) or boxed Priority.
