Original full plate (8.5" x 6.5".) tintype of a rural farming scene showing a threshing machine and several men with tools and horses. Great detail, and original hand-tinting throughout the image. Nice farming scene.
Scratched into the back of the tintype is: "JD Hackeborn's Thresher. 1872"
In 1872, the Hackeborn farm was located in Mansfield, Ohio.
There are bends throughout the image, which is typical in loose tintypes of this size; the writing scratched onto the back was hard enough to be visible on the front if you're looking for it, but does not detract much if at all.
Boxed shipping.
