1860s CDV photo showing a woman posing with her husband, who to my eye appears to be Native American... "Americanized" Native Americans were not uncommon, however a mixed marriage would have been extremely rare. The woman also appears to be pregnant, wearing maternity style clothing.
A very interesting image... they are not identified on the image, but on the album page this CDV was originally in was written "Mudge", I believe.. whether referring to him, her or neither I have no idea.
Philadelphia studio backmark, which is printed upside down, as shown.
4" x 2.5". Very good antique condition, slightly bumped bottom-left corner.
Shipping: Photo mailer or boxed Priority
