Original full-plate, painted tintype of First Lady Frances Cleveland, wife of President Grover Cleveland. This tintype was taken from the 1886 sitting with photographer Charles Milton Bell (see listing photo #2, provided for reference only, not included). Pretty rare painted tintype!
Dimensions are about 9" x 7". Overall condition is very good, small amount of bends, relatively very few for its size. There is a wavy effect on portions of the image, the emulsion or varnish was laid on a bit too thick, but whatever the case it's always been there, and is not later damage. Makes it a bit hard to photograph but none of the image is damaged or missing.
Shipping is by boxed & signed Priority Mail (US).
