Circa 1850 daguerreotype showing a painted portrait (on an easel?) of an unidentified British Revolutionary War officer with I think partially rolled up map on the table next to him. It might be possible to ID him, but I haven't tried. His coat and buttons have been tinted red and gold. In a very nice, full, complete case, measuring 4.75" x 3.75" when closed. Dag has a tarnish ring, a few small abrasions and light scratch in the upper-left corner, and a spot of green corrosion. Newer archival seals.
