Original CDV of Moung Edwin, one of the very first Burmese students in the United States. His father was U Shway Bo, the first Pwo Karen pastor in Burma. After arriving in the US in 1875 Edwin first attended the Crozer Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania, then Iowa University, graduating with a law degree in 1879, which was when the CDV was taken. After graduation he returned to Burma and practiced law in Tharawaddy until his death in 1912.

My scan shows the front and back of the same CDV. The signature is in ink.

Dimensions are approximately 4" x 2.5". Very good antique condition, zoom for details.

Shipping: Choice of First Class (flat photo mailer) or boxed Priority Mail.
