Original c.1880 of the amazing Capuchin bone chapel / crypit in Rome, Italy. It contains the mummies and skeletal remains of 3,700 bodies believed to be Capuchin friars.
These photos are more commonly found in large albumen format.. seems that the CDV versions are are lot harder to find.
4" x 2.5". The back is blank other than a few words of small writing in light pencil that is hard to read.. I believe I can make out the words "Chapel", "Roma".
Very good antique condition with light soiling.
