Rare original CDV of a Chinese man, photographed in 1870 by the Boston photographer McCosker.
On the bottom of the mount the image is signed in Chinese, in original ink - “yī rén chéng bǎo wén fú”… On the back is his name in English characters, and his nickname "Henry Happiness" with a date of March 7, 1870.
The albumen photo is in overall very good antique condition, though the top and part of the mount has been slightly trimmed; the back has minor damage as well.
