Original albumen photograph of two young Chinese men.... men and women from the upper classes, especially literati, grew their nails long as a symbol of wealth: Long nails indicated that their owners did not have to do manual labor. The are unidentified.
The 5.25" x 3.75" photo is on a medium weight mount (6.5" x 4.75") with blank back. The piece is in overall very good antique condition. Very nice details and contrast.
