Rare original photograph of a flute (double aulos) player, with a copyright of Randall, 1891. Herbert Randall was an award winning photographer whose business was on Huron Street in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This image is still in its ORIGINAL frame, that still has its original chain wall hanger... a rare find. The image is probably silver gelatin, but it's very possible, ,maybe even likely, that it could be a glass plate image, which Randall was also known for..... I just am not confident enough to say positively without taking the back off. The label on the back could be vintage but I do not believe it's original.
The dimensions frame is 12" x 10 and is in overall very good antique condition with some loss of gold paint. The image is in very good or better antique condition.
