Original late-1860s, c.1870 CDV of a beautiful white cat, who turned
his head a bit during the exposure! He was photographed in the famous
Crystal Palace, in Sydenham, South London, by Negretti & Zambra.
N&G had a studio inside of the Crystal Palace and were the official
photographers to the company. They specialized in stereoviews.. this
is the only CDV I've seen of a CAT at this location... maybe it was
a pet of one of the photographers?
CDV is 4" x 2.5". Overall very good antique condition. Really, the one
notable issue is the bottom-left corner, which is a bit rounded, as
shown.
