Original late-1840s quarter-plate (1/4) daguerreotype of a group of people - 15 in all - identified as the Phippen Family. Group shot daguerreotypes with this many sitters are rare, and especially when they are identified. To the left of the group are a couple of photographer's posing stands Housed in its original leather case is about 4.75" x 3.75" when closed. It is in very good antique condition, with its hardware intact, though the halves are separated along the spine and the inside left side rail is loose. Priority Mail.
