Sixth-plate ambrotype of a bearded man, interesting looking character with an expressive face. Clear image with a lot of detail - the lines in his face are all very visible. Use HOVER/ZOOM to see the details.

He's wearing an interesting tie pin.. I've seen similar designs relating to both freemasonry and police departments, but I can't find an image of the exact pin online.

You can't see this in my scan, but if you remove the cover glass there is a partial black label with the word, "BOWERY." Based on the style of the label and of the font, I'm about 99% sure that the photographer was Mary Ann Jube, 83 Broadway, New York.

Ambrotype is in very good or better antique condition, behind mat and cover glass in half of its original case. The black paint on the back is flaking, which shows as lighter areas on the image, but as ambrotype collectors know this is not considered damage.

Shipping: First Class (well-packed mailer). Boxed Priority Mail also available at checkout.
