1840s, sixth-plate daguerreotype of a woman wearing a bonnet, gloves, tinted blue ribbons, and a gold or silver ring.
Housed in an excellent leather vase, flowers, grapes case, which I think is attributed to Plumbe, though there is no label inside.
Original seals are no longer intact but at some point the dag was resealed with old masking style tape... looks old and looks like it can be easily removed. The plate is in excellent condition.. I don't see any obvious condition issues.. there might be a pinprick mat abrasion or two that I missed, but I don't think so. There is a tiny speck of something on her nose, I can't tell what it is,
and can only see it under magnification.
