Antique photo album with 31 CDVs & tintypes, plus 1 period visiting card. The family appears to have been from Indiana, though there's an owner's name on the back cover mentioning St. Louis, Missouri.
Included is a post mortem CDV with the period caption, "Daddy's brother or sister", and a newer note in pencil, "Probably Maura Cooprider".
On one of the first pages is written a poem, I can't read all of it, but in part it reads:
Remember me ?? time all the ?
Remember me who I was??
When the grave becomes my bed
Remember me when I am dead
The album is in POOR and very fragile condition inside and out. The phots all look to be in very good or better antique condition.
Closed, the dimensions of the album are approximately 8" x 6" x 1.5".
