This is a painted portrait of a woman, I believe watercolor on heavy paper stock, signed "AB" in the bottom right corner. The woman is NOT identified, however, based on other ID'd photos picked up with this of the same family, it's possible she was Hannah Ann Morris Buckley (1812-1889) of Philadelphia. Hannah's daughter was Annie Buckley (born 1836), so the "AB" might possibly be her artist initials.

The portrait is behind a thick brass mat and cover glass in a quarter-plate push-button, pebbled leather case from the 1850s. The case is about 4 1/2" X 3 3/4" when closed.

Both the portrait and case are in very good antique condition.
