Original CDV of Lincoln by Brady with his Washington, D.C. studio imprint.
On the back is signed "A. Lincoln" in ink, along with a note that reads:
"This was given to her coachman Wm. P. Brown by Mrs. A. Lincoln in 1866. The signature is genuine. Frank E. Thatcher", followed by his Notary Public ink stamp, with a date of August 13, 1933.
The photograph is original, but I DO NOT believe that Lincoln signed this image, despite the notarized stamp. It was probably signed anywhere from the 1870s to 1933. An interesting image, definitely with some value whether the signature is genuine or not.
My 15K BIN price is just in case I'm wrong about the signature - I will consider offers on this listing.
CDV is in good condition overall, though the corners have been rounded it's still 4" x 2.5".
Included: Boxed, tracked & signed FEDEX Next Day shipping.
