Sixth-plate, early-to-mid-1850s daguerreotype of two women. Full case, complete with separated covers.
The dag is no longer sealed and has light swipes over the surface, one or two tiny abrasions and mold spider, but I do not see any obvious scratches or heavy damage. Pic 1 is a scan... the other pics were taken with my cell phone to try to better show the swipes... they don't jump out to me so much in person, I would definitely say that in hand the dag looks more like my scan than it does my phone pics. Still a beautiful image, either way.
Boxed and insured Priority Mail.
