Two original CDVs of a boy and a man, both by New Orleans photographers, the man's with a Civil War revenue stamp, the boy's with an identification in pencil.

The boy was George Brentford Mitchell (Feb 1862 - Nov 1920), and although not identified, the man might have been George's father, Archibald (1819 - 1885).

Young George is shown wearing Scottish sash. His father Archibald was born in Scotland and was a Captain in the Civil War, Confederate Army, Co. D, Leed's Guards Regiment, Louisiana Militia.

These two images were purchased together in a small group. 4" x 2.5" each, both in very good or better antique condition.
