
Rare series of seven original, late-1870s cabinet cards (6.5" x 4.25" each) documenting Chinese immigrants suffering from leprosy. They were patients of Dr. John W. Foye, who was resident physician at San Francisco City and County Small-pox Hospital.
Image #3, provided for reference, is quoted from the book, "Mütter Museum Historic Medical Photographs. The College of Physicians of Philadelphia" and mentions one of the subjects of these photos, Fo Lim.
Photos are in very good antique condition as a whole, with light soiling and minor wear. Please study pics and ask questions before purchasing.
