Interesting original CDV showing a group of people celebrating in the street beneath an effigy hanged man. Note that this looks like a photo of a tintype that is leaning up against blocks of wood or boards.
The back of the CDV is blank, same color as front, so there is no studio ID, however, this was out of an album with mostly Leavenworth, Kansas studio imprints. In the same album were far less Iowa studios. I read there was a violent miner's strike in the area around the time this image was made, so it could be connected to that event.
CDV is about 4" x 2.5" and in very good or better antique condition.
