Interesting sixth-plate daguerreotype of a woman and a little girl, who is leaning on the shoulder of a third woman that is cut off by the edge of the mat, but is largely still visible.
The dag is unsealed and has several typical mat abrasions, but the one along the right edge seems intentionally done, maybe a misguided attempt at hiding the partially visible woman.
Apart from the abrasions, the dag has a lot of little mold spiders, but no swipes or scratches in the main visible area. It's unsealed, in a full case with separated covers. The case has an unusual rivet in the front cover, similar to ones that I have seen with names or initials etched into them, but this rivet is small and either blank or with any etching worn away.
