Original, museum quality late-1850s daguerreotype, 6th plate in full case. Four workers in work aprons with various tools, some of which are on a small table in front of them. I see a couple of wrenches, loom shuttles and awl? drill / screwdriver? Possibly machine workers and repairmen. I'm comparing the actual image to the screen now and believe me, this dag is even more beautiful in person. The contrast is excellent... in hand this image is very sharp and clear. It is in overall excellent vintage condition. Tarnish ring and areas of tarnish, as shown, but no damage. No swipes, dings, abrasions noted. It has been resealed with archival tape. Bits of the original seals are inside. Full case measuring 3.75" x 3.25" closed. Case is intact and in very good condition.
