High quality, leather photo album, manufactured by Altemus & Co, Philadelphia, with a copyright date of 1863. This is a nice "Ringed Back" album, with light blue leather binding visible between every page. It is completely filled (no missing slots!) with CDVs and a single tintype.
There are a lot of identified people in here, but I have never researched a single one of them and have only ever slid out a handful (maybe 10) to check the backs.. all of the ones I saw were from Pennsylvania cities. I saw one tax stamp in the ten or so that I checked.
The album itself is extremely nice, 100% complete and intact and in overall very good or better antique condition, with pretty light interior tear damage, no missing pages. The CDVs
Album is 10" x 8" x 2" when closed. It can hold 104 CDV-sized photos, and there are 104 total photos included, all 1860s-1870s CDVs and ONE 1860s tintype. Overall condition of the images appear very good, however, some that I checked were trimmed, but not heavily.
