Original c.1870 CDV of Kaʻahumanu (March 17, 1768 – June 5, 1832) queen consort and regent of the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi as Kuhina Nui. She was the favorite wife of King Kamehameha I. This scene shows her sitting on a rug with her servant, probably photographed from a lithograph after the painting by Louis Choris.

The studio imprint on the back is of the Hawaiian photographic artic M. Dickson of Honolulu.

CDV is 4" x 2.5", a little light in areas with foxing and minor mount issues. The inventory number on the back is in light pencil and will be completely erased before shipping.
