Original tintype photo showing a young man holding one hand up to his hear, possibly a signal to another member of his gang? The previous owner of this image identified him as John Wesley Hardin, the famous American outlaw and gunfighter, and I have to say that I agree, but he is not identified.
Listing photo #2 is a photo of J.W. Hardin at about the same age as seen in my tintype. Photo #2 was found online is and only provided here for facial comparison purposes.
Tintype is 3.5" x 2.5" with nothing back. EXCELLENT antique condition.
