Original 1860s tintype of a man in apron, holding a hammer in one hand. Blacksmith? I'm almost certain this is Civil War vet John Teasdale (b.1846) of Mineral Point, Wisconsin.. looks like other photos I own of him, but he's not identified.. I'm not 100% because this is the only photo I have of him with a beard.
The tintype is in its original paper frame, which measures about 4" x 2.5". Light crazing.. horizontal surface defect around his belt line, otherwise no bends, and in very good antique condition.
Shipping: Ground Advantage photo mailer. Boxed Priority Mail also available at checkout.
