Original 1860s tintype of a young couple. The man is wearing a string tie and a ribbon pinned to his lapel, and has a great mustache. His young wife has tinted pink cheeks and some type of injury near her mouth... I've looked very closely under magnification and it was on her face, it is NOT damage to the tintype.
This tintype was taken out of an old album that was in poor condition.. all of the CDVs in the album that had studio imprints were from Jackson, Tennessee, so this tintype was very likely taken in Jackson as well, at the very least in the state of Tennessee.
*** From the same album I am also listing a neat dry goods store coupon from a Jackson, TN store - you can find this in the "Other Formats" section of this shop.
Tintype is 4" x 2.5" and in excellent antique condition with NO bends.
