Excellent original tintype, little boy posing with his sleeping dog or coyote pup? whose head is hanging over the edge of the table. Behind the boy is a visible posing stand. There is no studio on the back, but based on other c.1865 tintypes purchased with this image, I believe the location was almost certainly Clyde, New York.
Tintype is on its original 4" x 2.5" mount, which has Potter's March 1865 patent embossed along the right edge. Tintype is in excellent antique condition.
