Ninth-plate daguerreotype and sixth-plate daguerreotype of the same man, wearing a tinted blue tie in the larger image.
The dag has old or even original seals in place and I don't see any mat abrasions. It's in a full case with matching, separated covers.
The ambrotype and its case both look to be in excellent antique condition. The case might possibly have a hairline crack or fleabite chip or two... I don't see any examining it with my naked eye... but I can safely say it's a 9 out of 10 condition.
