Half-plate, 1850s Ambrotype of two cute siblings, the little girl appearing to hold a keys on a ring! Housed in a banded, pebbled leather, double clasp case that measures 6” by about 4.75” when closed.

The image is behind cover glass and mat and is on clear glass with the backing piece painted black to being the image out.

Overall in very good antique condition. Note that the light area in the lower-right area (see close-up) is not damage, but the paint on the backing glass flaking a bit and showing through, which is very common in this type of Ambrotype. The case is overall very nice and is complete and intact. The top rail is slightly separating at the corners which is easily fixable with wood glue.
