Three original tintypes of the same man, one on a 4" x 2.5" mount showing him wearing a large straw hat, which has been tinted green or yellow and a tinted yellow vest.

The second tintype is large, measuring 5.5" x 4".

The third tintype shows him reading a newspaper, or possibly letters. It's about the same size as the hat tintype, and was probably once on an identical mount, which is now lost.

The photos appear to have all been taken on the same day, judging from his clothes. He's not identified, but several CDVs that were purchased along with these tintypes had Memphis, TN studio backmarks.

Sombrero tintype has detached from the mount, as shown, and has a small scratch in the upper-left, otherwise it's in excellent condition. The larger tintype has surface wear and bends. The newspaper tintype is in very good or better antique condition.

Photos taken with my cell phone in daylight and uploaded directly to this listing with no editing.
