Excellent original cabinet card, 1880s.. sporty group of tennis player friends with rackets, the girl on the left also holding a ball, a second ball on the floor by her feet, and the seated boy with the net across his lap.
Photographed by Whitney, Cambridgeport, which I believe is a neighborhood in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
The people are not identified, however, I own another photo of the girl in the upper-right where she is identified as M.H. Wells... based on that and on other photos picked up with this one, I believe she might have been Minnie Howard Wells, wife of John William Wells... if so, maybe John is the man standing next to her.
Minnie died of a heart condition at the young age of 32 in 1894.
Cabinet card is 6.5" x 4.25" and in very good antique condition. The very upper-right tip has a tiny bit of damage.
Shipping is by First Class. Boxed Priority is also available at checkout.
