Original photograph of Eddie Russell (left) and an unidentified friend. I have other photos of Russell, two of which he is posed with a camera. He was a photographer in Midland, Texas, and this was taken there circa 1907.
This mount has an ink stamp reading "W.H. Rohlfing, Photographer, Midland, Tex" in the bottom-right corner. Walter Rohlfing ran a short-lived photography studio in Midland before moving to Los Angeles.. he might be the unidentified friend in the photo. I think at this point Russell was either Rohlfing's assistant or apprentice.
Dimensions of the mount are approximately 7.5" x 5.25". Good or very good antique condition, as shown, with some corner and edge wear, light surface wear.
Boxed Priority Mail.
