Original cabinet card photo of a wealthy looking man and his partner, possibly his son? He's wearing boots with a visible stamped logo on them that I can't quite read.. could be the initials or abbreviation "CAL".
The back is blank, as it was produced, however, this was part of a large collection of 1860s and 70s photos, nearly all marked with Virginia City or Carson City, Nevada studios.. for some reason this has none, but I think it's very likely this was taken in one of
those two cities, or at least, somewhere in Nevada, in the 1870s.
6.5" x 4.25". Very good to excellent antique condition.
