Original circa 1860, sixth-plate tintype photo of a dog relaxing on the front porch of a house. Tintype is behind glass and housed in its original late-1850s thermoplastic photo case, oval design, with a nice raised, floral design on its covers (same design on both front and back), and original manufacturer's label inside.
Case is 3.5" x about 3" when closed and is in overall very good antique condition, complete and intact with one or two minor issues, including the common hole/chip over the clasp hardware. The tintype is in overall excellent antique condition with one minor scuff near the bottom-right, probably from having made contact with the frame at some point.
NOTE: The light-colored, square shape at about 6 o'clock is some residue on the OUTSIDE of the glass and can be cleaned off.. I just forgot to. The tintype is slightly LOOSE in the case, so it should be handled with care, or it could fall out.
