Original CDV showing an engraving of Abraham Lincoln with his wife Mary seated beside him. His eldest son, Robert, stands behind him in his Civil War uniform, while his younger son Tad stands by his side. In the upper right corner is a framed portrait of Willie, the Lincolns’ other young son who died in the White House in 1862 (the portrait is often cropped out of other versions of this image). The engraving was made from the famous 1864 Anthony Berger photograph of Lincoln and Tad. Mary, Robert, and the departed Willie were added later by the engraver. Back is blank. Dimensions are 4" x 2.5".
