1/6 plate circa 1850 daguerreotype of a doctor with an open case of surgical tools and books on the table. On the pad he is identified as Dr. Phelps, who practiced in Montgomery County, New York at this time. Research shows that he died in 1855.
The dag is in full case with separated covers. Overall in very good antique condition with some mat abrasions close to the mat edges. Resealed.
