c.1860 ninth-plate (1/9) ambrotype of two little girls holding hands. They look like twins to me, although one has long hair and one has short hair. I wonder if the shorter hair girl had been sick and had her hair cropped. They are wearing matching dresses. The ambrotype comes in a full case behind mat. The emulsion side is protected but there are still some light scratches. The preserver is broken at each corner but stays securely in place inside fo the case. The case covers are still intact though the spine is splitting.
