Quarter-plate daguerreotype of a woman in mourning dress. Very good antique condition with original seals still intact, in full, intact case. The hair was found inside of the case (you can still see where it left discoloration against the back of the plate) and before shipping, it will be put back behind the case where it was found.
She is not identified, but based on other photos I picked up with this dag, I believe the woman was probably Uree Amanda Entriken Way (1826-1883), from Chester, Pennsylvania. Uree's mother died in 1856, so that might have been who she was in mourning for.
