Lot of two original c.1865-1866 CDV photos, the first showing the Moses Brown School in Providence, Rhode Island, and the second showing a teachers and a class of children, presumably taken at the school.

The Moses Brown School is an independent, Quaker, college preparatory school, offering pre-kindergarten through secondary school classes. It was founded in 1784 by Moses Brown, a Quaker abolitionist, and is one of the oldest preparatory schools in the country.

On the back of the CDV showing the building is written, "Quaker school, Providence, RI" "Nov 12, 1866". The back of the second CDV is blank, but has a Civil War revenue stamp.

Both CDVs are 4" x 2.5" and in very good or better antique condition.
