Nice 6th plate daguerreotype of a woman wearing eyeglasses and holding what looks like a newspaper, possibly sheet music. Housed in a nice union case.
She is not identified, but this came with a lot of other dags out of a Florida estate and one of the other daguerreotypes was of a child identified as John Madison Taylor (b.1851, Georgia)... so there's a good chance this dag was taken somewhere in that area or the southeast US.
Dag no longer has its seals but looks to be in very good antique condition with no scratches, swipes or abrasions noted. The case is in excellent antique condition, one or two tiny nicks.
